iPhone 11 Pro Max vs iPhone 13 Pro

The display size of the iPhone 13 Pro is only 0.4” smaller than the display size of the iPhone 11 Pro Max. But while the displays are close in size, the iPhone 13 Pro is significantly smaller and lighter than the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The iPhone 13 Pro has a 6.1-inch display, measurements of 5.78” (H) x 2.82” (W) x 0.30” (D), and a weight of 7.19 ounces. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 6.5-inch display, measurements of 6.22” (H) x 3.06” (W) x 0.32” (D), and a weight of 7.97 ounces.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro each have a triple 12MP rear camera array with a wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens, and a 12MP TrueDepth camera on the front. But despite the similarities in lenses, the iPhone 13 Pro has quite a few features not found on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. For example, the iPhone 13 Pro supports Apple ProRAW, Photographic Styles, macro photography, and macro video recording, as well as, HDR video recording, ProRes video recording, and a Cinematic mode for recording videos with shallow depth of field.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 6.5” display with a resolution of 2688 x 1242, and the iPhone 13 Pro has a 6.1” display with a resolution of 2532 x 1170. Aside from the size and resolution, a key difference between these screens is that the iPhone 13 Pro features ProMotion technology with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. Otherwise, shared features include HDR, True Tone, wide color (P3), Haptic Touch, and a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro each have rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that are fast-charge capable and support Qi wireless charging. The iPhone 13 Pro can also be charged using Apple’s MagSafe. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 3,969 mAh battery capacity, and the iPhone 13 Pro has a 3,095 mAh battery capacity. While the capacity of the iPhone 11 Pro Max appears much larger, the battery life estimates for these two devices are close. The 11 Pro Max is able to offer up to 20 hours of video playback time or up to 80 hours of audio playback time, and the 13 Pro is able to offer up to 22 hours of video playback time or up to 75 hours of audio playback time.
