Shipping is a week late. Buyer want to purchase local and return when it arrives

I sold a steam deck a couple weeks ago. USPS priority mail didn't update the tracking for about a week. Today it was finally updated and will not arrive until next week still. The buyer asked if I would accept a return once it arrives as he'd like to go purchase a steam deck locally. Is this something I am ok to agree too?
