Mint Mobile SIM Trouble

Bought a phone from Swappa for use with Mint Mobile. As luck has it, the order included 3 months of Mint Mobile for free. Great. I got the SIM from Mint even before I got the phone. Trying to Activate is a nightmare. Keeps telling me the Activation Code is wrong. Mint says that Swappa will need to Activate, which makes no sense since Mint shipped the SIM. Giving second thoughts as to using Mint as my carrier.

I've emailed help@swappa twice, both times I get a reply that says "you should receive your card in 5-7 days". Makes no sense. No trouble with delivery, I already have the card.
