Paypal Transaction Fee higher than advertised?

Hey all, Recently sold a iphone 13 for $435.00
Taxes came out to $31.36 for the buyer, buyer fee was $13.05, seller fee was $13.05 also so total was 479.41.
Paypal took out a whopping $24.21, which is significantly higher than the 3.49% advertised on the website (they charged me essentially 5.4%!). Excluding tax (which it should), the paypal fee should have been $15.67 right?
Thanks for any help

Hello Mike,
Please email in with the listing or sale code for your device to [email protected] and we can assist in explaining further.
Thank you.

Hey Mike, did you ever get an explanation for this? I agree it's crazy high--- fees were nearly 30% of my sale recently. Thinking of switching platforms if this keeps up.

All,
To clarify, please see our fees pages here: www.swappa.com/fees
Sellers are paid their ask price minus the Swappa seller fee and the PayPal seller fee.
The buyer pays the Swappa buyer fee and taxes.

Me too same boat. Just spoke to PayPal they are saying 1.5% additional commercial transaction fee. No where it’s mentioned. It’s clearly cheating the sellers
