How to discuss price comparison?

There is a listing for an ipad that's higher than Amazon new iPad of the same spec. I left seller a comment stating that, but Swappa removed it. What is the proper way to discuss?
"You are selling at a higher price than new item on Amazon, can you lower to $xxx", is that ok?

Sellers have a right to set whatever price they want. Big discount stores can always charge less.
