Sales Tax
I bought a used phone on Swappa as a temporary phone. I used it for a couple of months then resold it on Swappa for about $20 less (list price) than I bought it for. I was wondering why I am being charged sales tax for a used item? I am not a business or professional seller, I sold the phone for less than I bought it for. Seems like sales tax is not required in my situation from what I have seen online.

On Swappa, sellers are not responsible for sales tax. The buyer pays any applicable taxes. https://swappa.com/taxes
