Are iPhone 11 and Xr the same size and can I use the same case?
I'm thinking of upgrading from iPhone XR to iPhone 11, and I already have a few cases. Are they the same size and can I use my old cases?

First off, the iPhone 11 is a great phone, so you'll definitely be happy with the upgrade. And with used iPhone 11 prices lower than ever, now's the best time to upgrade.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to use your old cases. The iPhone 11 and iPhone XR are the exact same size (5.94" x 2.98" x 0.33"). But due to differences in their rear cameras, the same cases won't work on the 11 and XR.
That said, both phones have the same 6.1" Liquid Retina LCD. So if you have any spare screen protectors from your XR, you can use them on your 11.
