iPhone 12 vs iPhone 13: Which is the better buy?

It's no surprise that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 are some of the most in-demand iPhones at Swappa. Both are excellent smartphones, and they each feature the same exterior design. They also share many of the same features such as a 6.1” Super Retina XDR display, 5G connectivity, and MagSafe wireless charging. In fact, at first glance, these phones look almost identical, aside from some different color options, and a different layout for the rear-facing camera lenses.

iPhone 13 Advantages:

• The iPhone 13 has a newer processor. It's powered by the Apple A15 Bionic chip, whereas the iPhone 12 is powered by the A14 Bionic chip.
• Battery life is a little better on the iPhone 13.
• The iPhone 13 has more internal storage options, going all the way up to 512GB. The iPhone 12 tops out at 256GB.

Both phones have a great rear-facing camera setup, but the iPhone 13 adds new features like Photographic Styles for images and Cinematic Mode with Rack Focus for videos. While the iPhone 13 has a few advantages over the iPhone 12, the two phones are really close overall, and either will handle most use cases without any hesitation.

Since the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 look nearly identical and have almost the same features, the cheaper iPhone 12 is probably the better option for most people. Which iPhone would you buy in 2021, and why?
