The processor goes from the Snapdragon 821 to the Snapdragon 835, and Google also added the Pixel Visual Core and Security Module. The Pixel Visual Core brought HDR+ photography to third-party camera apps, and the Security Module makes your phone a bit more secure and tamper-resistant. Google also released Portrait Mode with the Pixel 2.
