I checked the keyboard by its serial number and Apple website shows it's 4th generation not 2021 as you stated.

Didn't work out buy fine communication
No issues with process. Audio is very bad on phone (can't make a call without using headphones) but it works with my plan so can’t return. Pretty disappointed.
