I’m happy to share the serial number if Swappa allows it. And no, I can’t reduce it by $340, unfortunately.

The FAQ post is mainly talking about IMEI number for cellular devices (iPhone, iPads with Cellular, etc.) and those devices also have serial numbers, but laptops do not have IMEI numbers, only serial numbers. Serial number is used to check it the warranty status online and confirm it is the correct model that’s being sold. The FAQ post specifically states “Buyers shouldn’t post listing comments asking for the IMEI before purchase” and I did not ask for the IMEI since there is none for laptops. The whole post is referring specifically to phones. I believe Swappa allows listings to have a picture posted with the serial number showing, and if this isn’t allowed then I can provide links to tons of approved listings that show pictures of the serial number in seller’s listings. Please provide further clarification. Thank you!

I don’t want want to violate Swappa’s policies. If they allow it I’ll show it or send it, but the rep earlier said it wasn’t allowed. I sympathize with your position, however. I do have a screen shot that demonstrates the Apple regular 1 year warranty is still in effect, as well as a screenshot of the Apple Care+. Hope that clarifies what I’m able to do. I’ll double check to make sure they’re there and if they aren’t I’ll upload them shortly. Thanks and have a great rest of your evening.
