Is it unlocked?
@peter Price is firmed
@Cesar, it's not unlocked, but you can unlock it with t-mobile after using 30 days with their service
Could you ask them to unlock it? Does it currently qualify
They told me the phone has to be on their network for 30 days, and then request to unlock, but if you mint, MetroPCs, I believe you don't have to unlock it, and it compatible with their 5G network, personally I use Mint, it runs with 5G seamlessly
So you've been using it on mint? Mint isn't T-Mobile. Is it locked to Mint? I'd like to get it but I don't plan to put it on T-Mobile either
Yeah, I have been on Mint for 3 years, and perfectly happy with its service, connection speed (same as t-mobile coverage), data, text, coverage.Mint is using T-mobile network as a virtual network operator, they dont belong to t-mobile, they just have contract with t-mobile.
So the problem is they may not accept somebody else bringing that phone or another MN Vo like straight talk may not accept it. I'm surprised if you've had it that long in fact I think it's the law that man is required to unlock it for you
I remember Straight talk has contract with both att and t-mobile network, I used to have Straight talk on my non unlocked t-mobile phone too, but I am happy with Mint on t-mobile now because it cheaper and better, I bought this A71 5G brand new, and I plugged it my Mint and it works fine with 5G too, you need to check with Straight talk whether they are on t-mobile or att at your region, if the phone is t-mobile compatible, I think it should be fine
Well it has to do with IMEI. I think I've talked myself into buying a phone that's factory unlocked so thank you and good luck
