Processor: 2.3GHz 8-core Intel Core i9
Memory: 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
Startup Disk: 1TB SSD
Graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4GB
Serial Number: C02C15LJMD6T
Battery Cycles: 53
Applecare+ coverage until May 25 2023

Mint condition. No marks or blemishes. Original owner. Non-smoker. Non-traveler. Home/personal use only.
Includes original box, original charger/cable.
Purchased certified refurbished from Apple.com.

Originally purchased due to perceived slowness on my 2018. Turns out my 2018 actually had a hardware issue and logic board had to be replaced (now works like it should). I wish I had dug into my 2018 problem instead of buying a new 2019 as a workaround to my performance problem (especially now that M1 has come out). Now I have 2 Intel systems where prices are dropping like a rock. Selling this 2019 first. Then I might sell my 2018 when Parallels ever comes out with M1 support for Windows (if it ever does). Still thinking....

I just saw a slightly better system go for $2700 which is why I lowered my price. I think my new price is extremely fair.

Jan 13, 2021 - 09:45 PM

hi, would you do 2250? your current ask with taxes and all comes around 2725, I am looking to seal at 2500 also will you transfer applecare as a part of sale assuming you agree to 2250, thats the max I can do, let me know and we can finish the deal

I haven’t priced out what mine cost if you had to buy it from apple/bh, but it’s a fair amount above $3k.
As for Applecare, isn’t it automatic in terms service? Applecare is assigned to the computer based on it’s serial number. Whatever you think I need to do to “transfer”, just let me know, because it doesn’t matter in order to utilize the Applecare warranty. I’ve had do get service on my 2018 recently and it was all handled based on the serial number showing in Apple’s system having Applecare and I had purchased Applecare after the day of purchase from BH (computer was purchased at apple.com) and there wasn’t any such assignment of my name to the macbook applecare warranty (just serial number). This is still a current model in new condition aside from the battery cycles and has applecare. Can u come up a bit?

Hello Jay,

I'm willing to offer $2250 for a local pickup. I also live in the DFW metroplex.

Jay R. Seller
- Jan 15, 2021 - 12:21 PM

Not sure how close you are but I'm new here and is there an advantage to doing a local pickup aside from shipping/insurance on my end? Why does this benefit you? @nahom

Jay R. Seller
- Jan 15, 2021 - 12:22 PM

@Nahom, also how did you do a request to me for localization? I actually got a 'Swappa' email formally asking me this on your behalf.

Jay R. Seller
- Jan 15, 2021 - 12:44 PM

@Nahom, I read in the FAQ that Swappa is done using cash during the exchange.

Sorry, I'm not willing to do this in person.

Jan 15, 2021 - 02:57 PM

I can pay through Swappa and instead of shipping it out we could just meet up. Local pickup benefits me because it allows me to get the Macbook sooner rather later and avoid any chance for error when shipping. It also benefits you because you save on shipping. I know the area around Plano so I don't mind driving.

Please note that Swappa does not advise local pickup unless the listing is marked as a Swappa Local listing.

Arranging local pickup / times / locations, within these listing comments is NOT permitted. First, a purchase of the listing is done, after which a discussion of shipping can be done on the private Sale page.

The official Swappa Local option is supported in a few select metro areas at this time: https://swappa.com/local

If the seller lives in or near a supported metro, they can configure Local options in their account via this page: https://swappa.com/my/profile/local

Please review our FAQ page here for further information: https://swappa.com/faq/sell/local_pickup

Thank you!

Also I formally requested the local sale by clicking on "request local sale" button on the listing page.

Austin, if I localize, then will there still be a purchase option online to pay with? I’m trying to avoid a meetup where a cash exchange is done.

Jan 15, 2021 - 03:49 PM

Oh I assumed we could meet in Plano, TX because that is where it's listed from. But if you are in Austin could you accept an offer of $2300 shipped?

Jan 15, 2021 - 05:01 PM

After reading the FAQ of local pickups, I haven't done a local pick-up before, it seems like a local pickup would require me to pay seller fees on the Swappa payment and pay the rest in cash. That would be fine with me but it doesn't seem like you'd like that. So could you instead take my previous offer of $2300 shipped? If you could please update the price and I'll purchase right away.

Jay R. Seller
- Jan 15, 2021 - 05:18 PM

I’m not in Austin. Austin was the Swappa person.
Anyway, yes I’ll do $2300 shipped....so I don’t have think about this anymore ;)
