Damage Description

A few tiny bumps on the corners of the laptop and tiny scratches on the bottom of the laptop that are barely noticeable. Some of the anti glare coating on the screen has started to come off which is a common problem among these laptops, however it's not noticeable when the screen is on at all.

2015 MacBook Pro Retina 13"

2015 MacBook Pro Retina 13". The only thing "wrong" with the laptop is some of the anti-glare on the screen has started to come off which is a common problem with this laptop - however it isn't noticeable with the screen on. I'm only selling because my work applications are better compatible with the newer MacBooks! I recently did a factory reset and updated to the latest operating system and it still functions like a brand new laptop. Comes with charger as shown in pictures!

Can we do $400? I can pick it up locally.

Hi, Piyush. I could do $415 as there are Swappa fees that get taken from the price as well? If that works for you, picking up locally works for me!

What is the battery cycle count on it? And how long does the battery last one a charge as it is for my daughter's school.

The cycle count is 431. I haven't timed it exactly from full charge to low battery, but it lasts for at least a few hours at a time without being plugged in. I can't imagine she would have any issue doing school work on it. The only reason I got a new computer was for more storage to handle music recording software! :)

$450 if I can pick it up today.

Hi Anthony, I can do that. I’m around all day!

I’ll give you a heads up when I’m heading to Astoria as I work in the bx.

Sounds good! We can meet at Rosa’s Pizza or by the 30th Ave or Broadway N/W train stations! Whichever is easiest for you!

Is this available?

Hi Kylie, I have someone who is supposed to pick it up today. If I don’t hear back from them about a pickup location then it’s still available. Would you be doing local pickup?

MacBook is still available and asking price is still $475. I have just done a factory reset and installed the latest operating system.

I am new to Apple Mac. What do you mean for a battery cycle count of 431? Does that mean once it hits 1000 I have to replace the battery?

Darcy S. Seller
Jan 09, 2021 - 07:43 PM

Typically a battery will last for around 1000 cycles. After the battery goes then yes, it would probably have to be replaced or a new laptop would have to be purchased. I’ve had mine since early 2015 and am at 431 so theoretically the battery should be good for at least another 5 years with the same use I had!

Jan 09, 2021 - 07:59 PM

Ok, and is it able to have the latest update?

Jan 09, 2021 - 08:02 PM

And the screen is ok with the scratches on it?

Darcy S. Seller
Jan 09, 2021 - 08:26 PM

Yes! They’re not scratches, it’s just the anti-reflective coating that these particular models have on them. It’s known to peel off. When the screen is on you can’t see it, as shown in the pictures!

I just installed the latest update onto it.

Jan 09, 2021 - 08:44 PM

OK I see, but the one picture of the screen and use is really hard to tell. Do you have another picture? If not don’t worry about it.

This laptop has not had any repairs done on it correct? Sorry I have a lot of questions.

Jan 09, 2021 - 08:58 PM

I'm interested!!! I need it shipped tho

Jan 09, 2021 - 09:01 PM

Last question, I see above you were going to offer someone $415 for it. Will you still except that offer and if so, I will pay now. Just let me know what to do. Thank you so much!

Darcy S. Seller
Jan 09, 2021 - 09:07 PM

I would have to take more pictures which I can do. There haven’t been any repairs done. The $415 was only because they were offering to pick it up locally that day.

Jan 09, 2021 - 09:09 PM

Kylie, let me know! First come first serve!

Jan 09, 2021 - 09:10 PM

Oh ok, I see. What would be your lowest that you would go? I would want to take the computer and have the screen repaired because the point of the antiglare is to prevent glare.

Darcy S. Seller
Jan 09, 2021 - 09:15 PM

There’s no glare on the screen. It’s still on a majority of the screen it just has come off in places. The screen looks totally fine when it’s on. The lowest I will go for shipping is $475 as I have to pay for shipping costs and Swappa also takes a fee. Thanks.
