What is your reason for selling?

Hi Adela—Thanks for your question. I am selling this MacBook Pro because I took on a new role with a new company shortly after I purchased it. This new company (now my employer) provides employees with a substantial subsidy on a new laptop, but only if we purchase a device through their established standard procedure in-house. This new role with a new company presented itself unexpectedly, and the interview, offer, and acceptance phases moved quickly. Definitely grateful for that, but it meant that I had just purchased two laptops (this and my other listing) for work at a job that I no longer had—laptops that did not qualify for my new employer’s discount/reimbursement benefit. Therefore, I am selling these to ensure I utilize the company benefit. I hope that helps clarify! Nothing to worry about, these have been assiduously kept safe in stable conditions.

Hi Adela--It would help me to know 1) whether or not you will purchase locally and meet at the designated swap spot, elect to have it shipped, or elect expedited shipping; and 2) if you elect to have it shipped, where (approximately!) will the shipment be going? Please don't post sensitive information, just a general sense is more than enough info.

I suspect $1,580 will be doable, but before committing I wanted to get this last bit of info.

-If picking up locally at the Swap Spot designated in NYC, your offer of $1,580 is agreed to.
-If shipping (whether normal or expedited), can we agree on $1,590? Normal shipping is included. If you would like expedited shipping, you may elect that during checkout (for the cost stipulated therein).

Hi Simran—thanks for the info. I’m not keen to go much lower, but how does this sound:

-I’ll drop the price to $1,550 and include two free gifts with the purchase: 1) a pair of Apple EarPods that are wired with the 3.5mm input (which, besides USB-C, is the only other port on this MacBook Pro), and 2) an Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Jack Adapter (which allows you to use the EarPods with an iPhone too!)
