It says that it cannot verify the purchase date. I don't know what that means for the warranty. It's the 2018 model, so maybe it aged out even though it''s sealed? I don't know :(

I will say, since it's sealed, it's definitely never been activated. It's my hope that you would still be eligible for warranty when you activate. It would pop up in the iPad and let you know
