Amber, the watch was brand new when I received it from Apple as a warranty replacement. I used it for a couple months & then I went back to Android setup. So to answer your question, it's in the box Apple sent to me as seen in the pictures, so technically it's original. Yes, it works perfectly on Verizon & that's what I had it on. Hope this helps.
