It is a brand new macbook. Never opened. I do not need it.

I do not believe I have any warranty on the device.
Serial number?
If you check the serial on https://checkcoverage.apple.com/, it tells you to validate your purchase date via iCloud account. I don't want to link an iCloud account/or disclose it's serial number in case someone decides to claim this macbook as theirs and cause the person I sell to problems.
Why would I pay $950 after taxes and fees when I could get on apple website for $974 after taxes and fees plus free airpods?
