On the box it says MWTJ2LL/A. I'm not sure if that's different.

The AppleCare warranty. Can you check the status using the serial? It should be 1 year from original purchase date from Apple.

Checking on the Apple website says something about it doesn't have a purchase date. It tells you to validate purchase date via your iCloud account. I don't want to link an iCloud account in case it registers my account as the owner and cause the person I sell it to, problems. FYI, I did not purchase this product directly from an Apple store, if that makes any difference.

Why would I pay $950 after taxes and fees when I could get on apple website for $974 after taxes and fees plus free airpods?
