Ro, thanks for the inquiry. The warranty starts from the moment of activation, and since the phone was never turned on, let alone registered with Samsung, it will start the moment you were to go on to the internet and login with your Samsung account.

As for Sales Tax, I can’t answer that since I am not familiar with TX’s sales tax information. If you get charged sales tax for other internet products and services, chances are a sales tax would apply to this purchase as well.
