The Galaxy S9 is a generation newer than the Galaxy S8+. As such, it brings a host of refinements and upgrades that make it faster and easier to use. The S9 offers greater performance with its updated Snapdragon 845 processor, and it takes better photos and videos thanks to an updated dual-aperture camera capable of 4k 60fps or 720p 960fps super slow motion video recording. The S9 also moves the rear fingerprint reader below the camera, making it easier to reach. However, being a smaller device overall, the S9 pares down the screen to 5.8 inches diagonally.
