These models are part of the fourth generation of the MacBook Pro lineup. The MacBook Pro 14” (2021) is part of the fifth generation of the MacBook Pro lineup, and it was released in October 2021. The key difference between the 2019 models and the 2021 model is the processor. The 2019 models feature Intel processors and the 2022 features an Apple silicon chip.
