Galaxy S6 Active vs Galaxy S8 Plus

Upgrading the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active to a newer generation Galaxy S8+ brings a handful of hardware improvements. The most obvious is the Galaxy S8+'s larger 6.2-inch 18.5:9 curved display and Samsung DeX desktop software. The battery remains the same size (3,500mAh), but other S8+ upgrades include a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, always-on display, micro SD card support, rear mounted fingerprint sensor (vs no fingerprint sensor on the S6 Active), iris scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB-C charging port. And while the camera has a lower resolution 12MP sensor, it's still an overall improvement with dual pixel phase detection autofocus and larger f/1.7 aperture lens for better low light shooting.
