Pixel 4a vs Pixel 5a 5G

Upgrading from a Google Pixel 4a to a Pixel 5a 5G would be considered a year-over-year upgrade. This type of upgrade path tends to result in smaller changes, but there are a few key differences between the 4a and the 5a 5G, one of which is support for 5G networks. The Pixel 5a 5G also has a newer Snapdragon 765G processor, as compared to the Snapdragon 730G powering the Pixel 4a. The display on both of these models has HDR support and is always-on with Gorilla Glass 3 for protection, but the Pixel 5a 5G display is larger at 6.34” (the Pixel 4a has a 5.8” display). Other improvements include a larger battery with Extreme Battery Saver, an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, and a dual-camera array on the back with a 12.2MP dual-pixel and 16MP ultra-wide setup.
