Pixel 4a vs Pixel 5

Choosing to upgrade from the Pixel 4a to the Pixel 5 will not be a common upgrade path. However, there are some key benefits on the Pixel 5 that aren’t available on the Pixel 4a. Both models have a similar sized display, at 5.8-inches on the Pixel 4a versus 6.0-inches on the Pixel 5. But the Pixel 5 adds Smooth Display, which allows for an up to 90Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 5 also has support for 5G networks, which is unavailable with the Pixel 4a. You would also be getting a much larger battery. The Pixel 4a has a 3,140 mAh and the Pixel 5 has a 4,080 mAh. The Pixel 5 also has Battery Share, which will let you wirelessly charge other devices. Internal storage remains the same between both devices, with up to 128GB available, and the Pixel 5 has 8GB of RAM, as compared to 6GB on the Pixel 4a. The other notable difference is the rear-camera setup. Both models have a 12.2MP dual-pixel camera, but the Pixel 5 adds a 16MP ultrawide.
