Pixel 4a 5G vs Pixel 5

Upgrading from the Pixel 4a 5G to a Pixel 5 is likely not a common upgrade path as both models were released in September 2020. The Pixel 4a 5G is considered a mid-range model and the Pixel 5 is a flagship model. Both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor with Adreno 620 graphics, the Titan M security module and Pixel Imprint, and 128GB of internal storage space. However, the Pixel 5 has 8GB of RAM, as compared to the 6GB of RAM found in the 4a 5G. The battery on the Pixel 5 is larger, and the Pixel 5 also offers fast wireless charging and Battery Share. Another key difference is the display. The Pixel 4a 5G has a 6.2” display and the Pixel 5 has a 6.0” display. Both are close in size, but the Pixel 5 adds Smooth Display, which brings a refresh rate of up to 90Hz.
