Although there was a issue with the item I purchased, specifically that there were unknown 3rd party modifications that voided the factory warranty, the transaction with Daniel K and Swappa turned out to be positive. Daniel K. offered to exchange the item, but we couldn't make that work, so he offered a full refund if I returned it. Swappa also refunded the $15 fee that they charged when buying the item. Although initially I was very frustrated, Daniel K. worked with me to resolve the situation and I would not hesitate to buy from him again. My situation was just bad luck...
