This is currently the best-value iPhone, in my opinion, unless you need the better camera system of the Pro version.
Super snappy, the battery is great, and I expect it to last a long time.
Since Apple has designed both hardware and software, you can expect them to work seamlessly together. For me, this is worth the "Apple tax," as I need a reliable, long-lasting phone (I upgraded from an iPhone 8 Plus I have been using daily since 2018).
Definitely look into buying a new one if you plan on it to last, as refurbished ones may have had some parts (like the battery) replaced, which typically means they will last slightly less.
