Old Verizon Image on the phone gave warnings about SIM Card not being from Verizon. I activated GoogleFI over WiFi, then ran System Update until a new Android Image was obtained from the new carrier. All messages regarding SIM Card vanished after a few updates. Phone functions as described after updates.
