Yes. Swappa Trade-In is built around a small set of vetted partners, not random buyers. Swappa does the diligence so you do not have to worry about getting paid or sending a device into a black box.

Every partner gets reviewed before they go live. Swappa checks their sales history, customer ratings, BBB and Trustpilot scores, and how they handle disputes. The team also tests the process end to end with our own devices. Partners who fall short do not get added.

Payments are handled by the partner directly, not by Swappa. Each partner has its own payout method and dispute process. Because we only work with partners we trust, refunds and resends for in-transit damage are typically handled quickly. You can see customer ratings on each trade-in partner page before you commit.

Your personal data is your responsibility. Before you ship, factory reset the device, sign out of every account, and remove SIM cards. The partner wipes and refurbishes or recycles the device after inspection, but resetting yourself is the only way to be sure your data never leaves your hands.
