Trading in a device takes five steps and a few minutes of your time. Here is the whole process, start to finish.

1. Tell us what you have. Start at Swappa Trade-In. Search by model, browse by category, or follow the prompts to narrow it down.
2. Answer a few questions. Condition, storage size, carrier, whether you still have the original box. The more accurate you are, the closer your payout lands to the quote.
3. Compare offers. You see offers from every partner that wants your device. Weigh the prices, the payout methods, and the partner reviews. Pick the one that works best.
4. Ship it free. When you accept, you finish on the partner's site. They confirm a few details, ask where to send payment, and email you a prepaid shipping label. Pack the device with padding, attach the label, and drop it off.
5. Get paid. The partner inspects the device when it arrives. If it matches what you told them, they pay the full quoted amount. If something is off, they send a revised offer or return the device at no cost, depending on their policy.
