Are Trade-in values accurate?
Yes. Quotes with Swappa Trade-In reflect what your device is actually worth on the resale market right now.
Pricing comes from a few places. Each partner has its own buyer demand and resale channels, so it prices what it expects to make a margin on. Swappa also shares live marketplace data so partners can see what comparable devices sell for elsewhere. Prices update regularly as the market moves.
The quote you accept is the offer. Each partner locks that price for a set window, shown on the offer. It runs from when you accept, commonly 14 days, sometimes 30. As long as your device ships inside that window and matches the condition you selected, you get the full amount.
Accuracy depends on you too. Mark a device as Mint when it has a cracked back, and the partner revises the offer at inspection. The biggest cause of payout surprises is condition mismatch, not pricing. So be honest about scratches, dents, and screen cracks. Note whether the device powers on and whether the battery holds a charge. Include the original box and accessories if you have them, since complete sets often pay more.
