Apple Watch retail pricing for the Series 5 begins at $399 for the aluminum model, $699 for the stainless steel model, $799 for the titanium model, and $1,299 for the white ceramic model. However, buying a used model directly from another Swappa user means you can get a cheaper price.

The Apple Watch will not work with Android. The Apple Watch can only be paired with an Apple iPhone. The Series 5 and Series 3 Apple Watch requires an iPhone 6s or later with iOS 13 or later.

The Apple Watch Series 2 and newer is water-resistant to 50 meters under the ISO standard 22810:2010, which means it can be submerged in water. Apple states the watch is designed for shallow-water activities such as swimming, but that it should not be used for high-velocity activities such as waterskiing. The Apple Watch Series 2 and later feature a Water Lock mode that activates automatically when you start a swimming workout. The Water Lock mode can also be activated manually.

Apple describes the Apple Watch as having an all-day battery life, which means a battery life of up to 18 hours. Apple has said the 18-hour battery life estimate is based on starting in the morning with a full charge and using the watch throughout the day to check the time, use various apps, receive notifications, and doing a one-hour workout with music playback. Your actual battery life may vary based on several factors including your specific usage patterns, and which model you have: GPS or GPS + Cellular. Another factor to consider is the age of your watch. As an Apple Watch is used over time the battery life can degrade which leads to a decrease in battery life. The Apple Watch is powered by a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery and can charge to 80% in about 1.5 hours, and to 100% in about 2.5 hours using the Apple magnetic charging cable.

The Apple Watch is not able to natively track sleep. Sleep tracking is not a feature that is offered officially by Apple, but users are able to track their sleep using third-party apps designed to monitor sleep.

The Apple Watch automatically tracks your steps when it is being worn. You can find your daily step count in the Total Steps section of the Activity app. The Apple Watch Activity app uses the Move, Exercise, and Stand totals as the top priorities towards closing your Activity Rings.
