Adopt-A-Phone™

Everything went well with my purchase of a used Iphone 17 Pro Max from Adopt-a-Phone until I tried to connect to my server. Both IMEI numbers were blocked. The seller told me that I would have to use 'Verizon' as the server, as listed on the original sale website. I tried to subscribe to Verizon online but couldn’t because it was still blocked. When I relayed this information to A-A-P they insisted that it was not blocked and sent me a picture to prove it. I ended up taking the phone to the Verizon dealer where they said "yes, it is still blocked but I should be able to remove it for you." She made a phone call and spoke with someone for about 10 minutes. When she returned, she informed me that the original owner had not made payments and sold the phone. Verizon then blocked the phone. But they were able to clear the block for me, and now I’m satisfied. Looking back, I probably should have spent another $150 and started with a new phone.

While they were a little more expensive there packing and presentation were above and beyond. Phone arrives in a branded box designed for a phone with a label and check list. Box included pop socket, tool to remove sim, charger, and cord.

Sale completed satisfactorily. Forgot to mark it complete.
