PAID OFF AND UNLOCKED/ Like New Condition

Purchased this phone new from Spectrum. Has always been in a black OtterBox Defender case and has never been dropped or repaired. Paid off early for upgrade and traded in -- then Spectrum's trade-in partner tried to screw me out of the original price and I declined the trade. Unfortunately, they returned it to me without the original box, charger and cable that I sent along with it. So it comes with nothing but a Lightning charge cable.

I have a question:
Why was I not allowed to list this and my wife's iPhone as "Unlocked"? They have both been unlocked by Spectrum (officially). When a carrier unlocks an iPhone, it is returned to a true unlocked state -- no carrier lock, no SIM lock, with full use of all tech that the phone is capable of from the manufacturer. Since this phone has been officially unlocked by Spectrum, it is truly an "Unlocked" phone since all iPhones come standard with all cellular modes enabled by default.
