I see the phone is locked to Tmobile. this phone is not blocked to use on Tmobile, correct? all payments are made and I can simply add this phone to my Tmobile account without issues?

Phone was previously used with Metro by T-Mobile, so there should be no trouble using T-Mobile with it.

ok. if it says locked, I don't think this can be used on Tmobile as it is actually locked to Metro . Metro unlocks their phones after 6 months. if you tap on the locked status you should see that your phone can only be used with a Metro sim at this time

Yes, I now see that you are correct. I understood that since Metro is a part of T-mobile, the two were interchangeable as carriers. They are not. With Metro, one must wait 6 months from activation (December-May) before it can be unlocked.

The activation date was December 15, 2023, making the phone available for unlocking May 15.

I have contacted Metro. The Razr is locked to Metro for 6 months from the time of reactivation. The clock stopped when it was deactivated and will start over when begun again. Hope this explains its status. Thank you.
