You actually can't apply OTA updates if you're rooted.

Although it is not very difficult to go back to stock or to install new rom. I'm actually a technician and would be happy to help if you end up buying it.

Is this GSM unlocked (so I could use on ATT)? also any scratches to speak of on the bezel or screen?

It is gsm unlocked. I've tried an At&t sim and it worked. Very minute scratches on screen and maybe one on the bezel.
