This phone has been lightly used and well cared for since purchase. Only visible scratches would be next to the USB port (from plugging in a cable). A screen protector and case have been on this phone since purchase and was only removed to take pictures. Phone is using Cyanogenmod 12. Please let me know if you'd like me to return it to stock.

Hello,

If you return it to stock is that exactly the same as if I bought it from google play? Meaning will it be eligible for device updates to latest version since its a nexus device. Please explain differences if there are any. Thanks

Yes, when returned to stock it is as if it was just purchased from Google. Will receive all official updates from Google.

Cyanogenmod is not "official" android and updates differently.
