iPhone 5 - 16GB Black, Carrier Unlocked

Hi! I have for sale my Black iPhone 5 16GB. I bought this iPhone off Swappa back in June to replace my iPhone 4 while I waited for the iPhone 6 to come out. This iPhone 5 is a million times better than the 4, I loved it. It is in great condition, the screen has about two TINY scratches and the bezel has some scratches that you can see in the pics. When I use it I leave it in the case, so it looks perfect like that. Two cases are included. I like the low profile black one which looks real sleek. Also included is a wall outlet adapter and USB charging cable.

This phone was originally a Verizon phone and was unlocked by the previous owner, who put it on the Straight Talk pay-as-you-go network. It's ready for activation on Verizon, AT&T, t-mobile, Straight Talk, etc., although I'm told it may not work on Sprint (please research yourself as I do not know how to confirm this). Basically this iPhone 5 is unlocked for any GSM network around the world. You may need your own SIM card if you don't already have one. I got a Verizon SIM card for free from the Apple Store. Important to mention that Verizon made me jump through some hoops to activate on their network, since I didn't buy the phone from them. I had to call their activation support line twice to get it activated on my account, but the second CSR was really nice and helpful. The first CSR I spoke with was a jerk.

What you see in the pictures is what you get!

Damage description

Battery replaced by Apple under their voluntary Battery Replacement Program. Battery always worked, but it was free, so I took advantage of the opportunity. Battery does last a bit longer after the replacement! Learn more here: https://www.apple.com/support/iphone5-battery/

Hi Paul, is this phone fully unlocked? Would I have to take any further steps to use this with another company like T-Mobile or AT&T?

You'll just need a AT&T or T-Mobile SIM card for the carrier you wish to activate it on. If you have an existing phone with a SIM card in it, you may be able to use it. I didn't have one, so I got my SIM (Verizon) from the Apple Store for free. You may be able to get one directly from your carrier as well. Let me know if you have any other questions!
