Could you explain the meaning of unlocked and it can only be used internationally? What do you mean?

The unlock for the Verizon phones only work outside of the United States. Verizon has done this so that there is no competition between competitors inside the United States. Therefore the unlock is not a factory unlock because it won't work in United States but will work outside of it. This is called a International Unlock.
