Cheapest of the bunch as you can see. Price is reasonable IMHO.
Hi. Will this phone activate on Cricket? you can check the IMEI on this page: https://www.cricketwireless.com/shop/byod.html
Or send me the IMEI and I will check.
thank you!
Hi P.K.
This is the response I got on Cricket website:
2. Review Compatible Services
Based on the IMEI you entered, your device should be compatible with the Cricket network. Here's what to expect:
Everything Great About Cricket
Unlimited Talk and Messaging
Up to 4G LTE Data Speeds
If you what a more precise answer to whether it can be used in your area, please provide me your zip code. The answer I got was base on my zip code I entered.
Works in your area P.K. using zip 21921. Same answer like my previous posting. I still have the unlock code from AT&T if you want but the phone is already unlocked.
OK great. Now, are you confident that it will activate both voice and data with a new SIM while it's running the custom ROM ?
Is the phone running a custom recovery?
I know that with a CDMA (no SIM) phone, it has to be flashed back to the stock ROM to be activated.
Not sure. I've never used Cricket.
However, custom ROM have no issue with voice and data on T-Mobile. I presume with Cricket it'll be the same.
If you want me to flash back to stock ROM, I can do it before I ship. Just let me know.
Additional note: you might have to set the APN settings manually prior to using the phone on Cricket. They can help or you can google it.
Additional info posted on Cricket website regarding BYOD on APN setting : https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/apps-and-services/bring-your-own-device-byod/customer/bring-your-own-android.html
Was this originally an ATT phone, then it was used on T-Mobile? If so then it should work fine on Cricket (ATT's prepaid carrier).
Original ATT phone. Still on ATT network. T-Mobile send me a few SIM cards and I've tried on the phone. Everything works, voice & data. I've also used phone on H2O prepaid for 1 month for voice with no issue. Just pop in SIM card, change the APN setting and got the phone activated.
Missed out on one question you asked. It's on custom recovery. TWRP.
