INTERESTED BUYERS!!!!!
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT HERE IF YOUR INTERESTED. THIS PHONE IS FOR SALE ON MANY SITES AND BY WORD OF MOUTH. I DONT WANT YOU TO PAY FOR IT JUST FOR ME TO TELL YOU ITS GONE, I ALSO DONT WANNA DEAL WITH REFUNDING MONEYS.
no worries, just didnt want potential buyers scared off thinking you are a scammer :). i posted a link to this selling on a popular android forum letting people know, perhaps someone interested will come your way :)
The uicc sim card needs to come with the phone for the LTE to work? If it doesn't come with it, it won't work? You can call metropcs and ask them what I'm telling you? Its not really a sim its just a uicc card to enable the 4g signal.
You are correct, they are under ten buck at a corporate metro store.
The uicc card can not be purchased at any metropcs store or online because its a unique card that belongs to the phone, without the card the phone its useless.
ever since the lg connect metropcs has used a new uicc setup, one that allows replacement cards. you need to buy a new unprovisioned one from a metro store.. but you can replace them. a call to a corporate metropcs store will confirm this :)
cancelled because its still active under another account. does anyone know if in a month or so it will be removed from the previous account?
how on earth did swappa claim it had a clean esn if its still tied to another account? and if you call them up they will release it sooner, if not then it should be 45 days
its still rather disconcerting that what would be a used esn (should show up as "bad") slipped pass swappa's check
I don't think they really check it....so afte45 days it's good? See I could call but it wasn't my account and i don't know the number to call and act like it was so I can cancel......Carlos...MUST BE A CORPORATE METRO STORE. I CALLED AND CONFIRMED.
so then in 45 days youll have a good esn sgs3 to sell. and yea swappa is supposed to check esn's of all devices sold thats how they promise its a good clean device... :/

David, we understand your concern about this. Unfortunately our ESN checks are not perfect, especially when it involves carriers outside the US big four. In this case we had to use our best judgment on this device to determine that it was okay to list. Our service for ESN is incredibly powerful and quite possibly the best available, however, it is not a promise or guarantee, but we try our best to ensure the best transaction possible between both the buyer and seller. In this case, Anthony was very cooperative and an example of a responsible seller for taking this listing off the market. We don't want to scare you away, David. We really try our best. I hope you can understand. Thank you all for choosing Swappa.
David, Wesley's answer is spot on, but I wanted to specifically address a couple of your comments: "how on earth did swappa claim it had a clean esn" and "thats how they promise its a good clean device".
We didn't claim this was a clean ESN, nor do we promise it's a clean device. The seller promises this when they create the listing. Swappa tries to enforce it.
We do indeed check the ESN for every listing on Swappa. And for most we can check directly with the carrier or other reliable source to determine it's status, etc. But some providers do not publicly expose this information. Additionally, ESN status can change overnight, quite literally.
For the small set of devices that we can't get an accurate status on we still do several checks, including checking that the ESN matches the type of device being listed, that it hasn't been used on Swappa before, that's it's not on the global blacklist, etc.
Cont'd...
Overall we do way, way more to protect buyers than anyone else, but it's ultimately the seller that's responsible for ensuring the listing meets our requirements. It's our job to do everything we can to try to enforce it.
Thanks for the replies guys, i was under the impression swappa had an esn checking service for all the carriers, apologies. i know it can be difficult working with some of the lesser used carriers :). you arent scaring me off that easily, ive sold 2 phones through you guys and will continue to use your services, this is an amazing site :)
So you are not going to sale the device? Are you going to post it again in the future?
