Yes it is clear for activation I got these personally. Last s3 I sold seemed to have the problem with your esn check and the buyer is using it now.

Something must be wrong with your esn check buddy. I just called verizon and they said 3rd party esn checks are "inaccurate"

It's new never activated. Has plastic on screen still. Everything inside box is new besides the battery. It was opened for testing purposes.

Is there a protective film on the back cover? If not, are those scratches on the back cover of the phone? Hard to tell from the photo. Is the battery new or used (per previous comment)? Is unit covered under Samsung manufacturer warranty?
