I live in Detroit too. Could we meet up and make a trade? I have a d821 (international) model and am willing to pay the difference.
For $500 one should just save a bit more and get the Nexus 6.. come on man..
Dude, you won't sell that phone for that price... not even for 400... If you go on Google Play right now you can buy it for 399.... I mean... come on... Let's be serious.
Exactly, maybe he got a special version that shoots lasers and win wars.
I had to see what a $500 N5 looked like! No cases, charger or anything. Guess the Rand went to his head.
As long as you guys have fun, that's the best kinda Christmas Santa ever brought...
You added a picture showing that you are charging more than the manufacturer? Very dynamic indeed
Notice that the manufacturer is offering nothing - like your comments.
What accessories or extras are you including in the sale? Thanks.

There needs to be a credit check captcha before commenting is accepted.
There needs to be a brain check before listing a Nexus 5 at $500 is accepted.
There are more chances to find life in Mars, than your phone to sell for more than $350.
I'm enjoying it, too, surprisingly. I now know how tech writers feel, and the insight into the gen-pop's understanding of economics is very interesting.
But it's not supply and demand, you only have one overpriced phone. Google is still providing the N5 in early 2015 for the normal price.
It's OK...you tried
But John, it's dynamic if you look at the listing provided from Amazon "Sold by BESTDEAL TECH". I mean come on. That's the BESTDEAL and he's offering it even cheaper than that. Come on! /s
LOL BESTDEAL TECH is selling them for N6 prices. States the normal price is $649.
I've yet to see one counter offer, or one example of a comparable device with a better price. Just a lot of conjecture and hot air.
And I think I spent 4 seconds doing a search that "biggest joke" record, with the eBay ad above.

Still haven't seen any better offers out there. Peace out, ladies.

I bought spanking new Blackberry back in the day, $600 on eBay. Stolen so never could activate it - which I believe is the point of this site. But why I'm arguing with internet trolls over this I don't know.

"Price police" comments that focus on price being too high are not allowed on Swappa. Please keep comment on topic. Thank you.
Just a correction for your description. The Nexus 5 does not support wireless protocol ac only b/g/n.
Added spec sheet from Play store. It's possible it was only late models that were upgraded, this one being listed less than two days after delivery.
Does the price include shipping and are you willing to sell it for 375?
If you can provide a copy of receipt from google post-sale for warranty and insurance purposes, I'll offer $450.
You should probably change your title
https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/Nexus_5_32GB_Black?id=nexus_5_black_32gb
LOL
Seller is advertising "last of the Nexus 5 line" in the title, but the Nexus 5 32GB is available to ship now from Google: https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/Nexus_5_32GB_Black?id=nexus_5_black_32gb
Thank you chris for the link. I had actually checked this morning and they did not have it. Now they do.
Guys! Chill. The seller probably has a JOB and hasn't seen this listing as he had questions posed to him BEFORE Google restocked that he hasn't answered. Speaking of which, I'm retracting my previous offer, obviously, as I've purchased a new 32GB (and a 16GB for my husband) directly from Google.

I also have retracted my offer as I bought it directly from google. Thank you
Since it's no longer a new resale (the box has been opened and the device turned on) and since Google has them back in stock, I will offer $340 for it.
And but for the timing I would have been happy to accept Jacqueline's offer, and shipped it priority next day gratis.
Wow! Priority next day, for free?? Not like that's what every single seller on Swappa does...
Seller, could you change the title to not say this phone is the "last of the Nexus 5 line" once you are done in Galt's Gulch, since it is an untrue statement?
Posted overnight rates, I'll be sure to inform all future buyers of the generosity of my loyal following.
I assume this hasn't been set up? Just opened to take pictures?
Can you please confirm that this is the black one? I got a bit confused since I saw the white pics.
Also, would you be able to accept an offer for $440?
I'm very tempted. It's the same as the one featured in the latest photo uploaded a few minutes ago.
If you're still around, I'll take it for $440. Just want to make sure no one else snags it before me.
Benjamin, will you be accepting the offer? I'd like to purchase the phone asap.
I'll be waiting until tomorrow (Saturday). Otherwise I'll have to cancel my offer, since I need the phone on or before Tuesday.
I'm sorry Jose, I am not sure if it's my Inbox setup or what, but I never seem to get mobile notifications/comment mail. In the future, if anyone would like to make a legitimate offer such as José's, just make the initial purchase and put in conspicuous terms that you are making an offer. I am sending this to the Swappa staff as well, that no one will be charged for an offer they did not make, nor one I did not accept. I will return contact, mutually agree and complete the sale.
NEW: Google Nexus wireless charger (Qi) is now included at no additional cost. The Nexus 5 has built-in inductive charging so there's no case or other additional equipment necessary.
Honestly, you are asking way too much for this device. It is no longer worth the stated value due to aged technology and consumer demand. I wish you luck.
Also, please remove every picture that isn't a shot of the actual device. That's what's keeping me from even bothering to make an offer.
Anyone see these come available on the play store lately? In need of a 32GB one myself
@ericc191 Is that honestly what's keeping you from making an offer?
@GrandMstrBud they're gone
I'm willing to up my offer to $56.00 but this offer is only valid for 24 hours.
This post has been up for 3 months and all we have done was make a fool out of the seller...
Ill offer $72.00 for everything
Then perhaps one could find better things on which to spend downtime, as opposed to being inconsiderate.
No one buy this, for $500 this is insane. Screw Price Police comments, this is outrageous. Anyone who buys a $500 Nexus 5 is crazy
A member for 3 days and already made 22 comments without a single transaction...
The guy is just going to say he is tempted and then attach another picture (not of the device) of someone else's post
These comments are becoming insufferable. The matter of negotiation hss been asked and answered.
I already bought a Samsung Galaxy Alpha 32, unlocked, brand new, never open, for $330...
Oh wait, never mind, the new Google Nexus 5 is $400 and the fastest phone of 2015.
There is no new 5, as production has ceased. If you meant the 6,you will not be able to purchase a legally acquired device for $400 from any outlet. If you want to buy the Nexus 6 I would recommend using Motorola Credit as opposed to the financing options provided by carriers.
I found this Phone, brand new, on Newegg.com for $394.73. No tax and free shipping. I see you have a Qi Charger included. That is not important to me, but...would be nice. If you would be willing to do $420(includes shipping), I would be willing to buy yours.

My offer of $420 still stands, but I am not going to move forward with the "original sale" for making offers, like you said...I contacted Swappa about it and they had this to say...
Allen,
Swappa is a first come first serve market place and is designed as such. Offers are not offically supported. The best way to go about this is to comment on the original listing page. When a price agreement is reached the seller should lower the sale price and comment immediately to let the potential buyer know they can proceed with hitting buy now. I hope this helps clarify. Thank you for using Swappa.

Brock Hatfield
The anger and rage on this site has been a nuisance but tolerable. If I am changing less than the only retailers who have physical devices, and I just happened to finally broken the secret I've spent over a year not finding, the least one could expect is for personal insults to be left to your reddit feed.
Swappa is correct in their hands off approach to telling market participants the value of their own properties; I'm not sure if it's a gaffe on one or two individuals or a backdoor way of playing to the vocal masses, but it's a textbook case study in poor leadership and company policy. I had just changed the status of the listing, but I do believe being a one of a kind, it's not quite valued correctly
Hah, what a tool. I found Swappa and my experience has been that there are trolls like this dog-beast from the 80's selling things at ludicrous prices, and others who post items then forget, and post comments that they already sold to "some guy on reddit." I foresee doom for this Swappa place.
Saw this on G+. Assuming that this device does indeed work on Verizon, I would continue to ignore the insufferables and market your discovery. There are thousands of people who would pay for such knowledge.
Nexus 5 is incompatible with the Verizon network. Works on any GSM network and Sprint in the US.
Seller, you cannot possibly think that someone would buy this phone at this price right? Unless there is something really unique about this particular nexus 5 that would make it worth more than a nexus 6 and note 4 combined ( AT&T models for example).
I didn't say it was a V-sanctioned fix. It was thought to be as such, I did "something," and now it does. As for buying or not buying it, I will know someone is interested when the green Buy Now triggers a notification. I feel like instead of hell I died and got stuck in a remedial econ seminar.
Well, now this is interesting. Nexus 5 on Verizon does sound unique. I'd be interested in that. Before I buy, can you prove that it actually does work? I don't want to waste my time or your time if it doesn't.
HAHAHAHAHHA Sir, you entertain me with your joke, $955 for an N5 ... HISTERICAL ....
Gold plated ?
This listing has been up for almost 4 months, I think it's time swappa re thought it's hands off approach
This listing has been up for almost 4 months, I think it's time swappa re thought it's hands off approach
Swappa is not the issue, its the fact that the seller wanted to charge $500 for a plain N5 after I told him that it wasn't worth that. To which he states its the last, after I told him that they would be available. Now its a regular plain N5 for $955.
This page is just for hilarious commentary...nothing more
I have to say this has been hilarious so far. I don't know if this is just a statement now at the current price, or what. It certainly makes Swappa looks bad, because the seller clearly has no interest in selling.
If I pay $955 does it come with free shipping?
I'll pay the asking price, but I'm going to have to ask you for a $100 Paypal fee to cover any costs that Paypal might make, a $200 Swappa fee to cover any Swappa fees that might occur, a $150 fee to cover shipping costs for returns that might happen if the device has a defect that wasn't listed in the post , and a $130 fee to cover any injuries that might occur when retrieving the device from my mailbox. In order to make this a smooth transaction, I will buy if you reduce price to $375 in order to cover the fees that you'd need to pay.
I saw a live hangouts or whatever it is called and it definitely works, only now he appears to be mia...
I'd pay just to open it up and see how he did it - then market the crap out of it.

This seems to have derailed. I have closed this listing. Benjamin, If another listing of this type is created, it will affect your Swappa account.
