And to be more specific this phone has same bands than the AT&T branded edition: LTE 700/850/1700/1900/2100, HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100 and GSM 850/900/1800/1900.
If you could do 400 I can pay right now. I need to replace a broken phone. It's the most i can do. Thank you for your time.
Is this the At&T version which has been unlocked? Or is it factory unlocked?
This is not the AT&T version. I think it's a Latin American version (box has information in Spanish). I got it already unlocked so I assume it was factory unlocked or unlocked by the original carrier. In any case I can confirm it works flawlessly with AT&T LTE and the software is completely unbranded.
So do you know if the phone will continue getting updates? Usually phones meant for a carrier once unlocked and used with another carrier don't get the OTA updates unless on the original carriers network. The Moto X recently had some updates for the camera, did this phone get those updates at all?
I've never heard of updates stopping because of factory unlocking a device, I used many unlocked devices before and received updates accordingly. As far as I know the only thing that could stop updates is installing unofficial ROMs, but I guess I could be wrong.
I used the phone for around a week only and until the moment I stopped using it I think it hadn't receive the latest update, but considering it's still somewhat recent I think it could take some more time to get it for the different versions. I definitely can't guarantee it will receive the updates because I don't know for sure, but maybe you could also flash a different carrier official ROM (for example Rogers, AT&T, T-Mobile) and you'll receive the updates according to some XDA threads, if you're comfortable flashing devices of course. I remember the about screen of this phone mentioned AmericaMovil so I assume is the same mentioned in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475038
Thanks for taking the time to provide a detailed answer. Will think about it and get back.
Just that I would let you know, I bought a AT&T version of the HTC ONE X which was unlocked and sold to me. Now that I am using the phone on T-Mobile , I don't get the updates at all. So there is definitely a difference between a factory unlock and a carrier unlock from what I have seen.
Thanks for the info, I'm really surprised and it's good to know about that possibility.
