HTC One Max "MINT", S=OFF, Boot Unlocked, 5.9" Screen, Finger Scan, Never dropped, Always in a Case!

This is a MINT Conditioned, barely ever used, HTC One Max for sale! It is fully unlocked so no need paying $25 to have it unlocked ever again. I protected this phone religiously. Not once has it ever been dropped nor has it ever been outside of a case since purchasing it new from the carrier (until this moment for pictures). The screen has always been protected and the phone only ever placed in an empty pocket.
The Root, Unlock, and S=OFF were done by me personally and this device was used only for developing on XDA. It is currently running my ADRENALINE 1.9.1 custom rom (unreleased ;) ). I am including the original box with manual, as well as an ac adapter and usb cable. You are welcome also to the old case it was in. I would assume you would eventually get your own of course :) This phone has a remarkably vibrant 5.9" display and is perfect for streaming shows or watching movies. This is a beats edition phone and the audio quality is paramount.

Damage description

Never Damaged so never a need for repair. Has never been dropped and is in new condition.

Can this still install OTA updates?

- Mar 07, 2015 - 12:12 PM

Yes, if you flash the stock Rom back to the phone which I can do for you prior to shipping :)

Neo, I'm very interested. Which custom recovery is installed? Is flashing on this device more or less the same as flashing roms on another other device? Baxkup first, download rom, boot into recovery, wipe and flash? Thank you

Sorry for the typos lol

TWRP is pre-installed (As recommended by myself and other developers for the device). Flashing roms is exactly as you've mentioned. It is extremely hard to accidentally brick any of these new HTC devices so you shouldn't be worried about that. I'm always available via XDA or hangouts if you ever need assistance with the device.

Sounds good. If i flash a stock rom but leave TWRP recovery can I still flash OTA updates? Or would I need to flash stock recovery as well?

- Mar 08, 2015 - 03:47 PM

If you found out a OTA was being pushed, you would need to be on a stock rom with a stock recovery in place as the ota uses the stock recovery to update the firmware. Typically what I do when a OTA is inbound, is I go ahead and make all my backups, then copy them off the phone to my pc. Then I RUU back to the latest available and take the OTA. Since you're S=OFF already, taking any OTA won't mean having to pay for am exploit to regain unlock. You simply take the OTA and then use a few tricks to push a custom recovery back so you can get back into the rom game. Simple stuff once you get a knack for it.

Thanks neo. Would you be willing to flash stock ROM/recovery for me prior to shipping? Sounds like as long as I backup stock ROM/recovery and copy to my computer I can play around with flashing and always have a backup to restore if I run into any issues?

Thanks for the help

Yes sir. I can put anything you want on it prior to shipping. If you ever have problems once you have the device, be it soft bricks or any questions, I'm always available on XDA or hangouts.

I ship overnight also provided payment is made before 5:00cst

Ok sounds good. I will send payment in a few. Would you be able to create a backup of your adrenaline ROM and place it on the SD card before you flash stock recovery/ROM back to the device? When creating a backup does that include just backing up the ROM or does it backup the recovery as well? If I were to restore any custom ROM I assume I would need flash a custom recovery first , vice versa, before I restore a backup of a stock ROM I would need to be on stock recovery?
Thanks for all your help

I can. I can create a TWRP backup of the rom and place it on the included sd card prior to flashing the stock firmware.

When you do a TWRP backup, it will backup everything in the rom including contacts, messages, saved games, etc. It will be as though you never flashed a Rom. It even backs up cached files :D
It does not back up the recovery though. I'll add the currently recommended version of TWRP to the sd card for you also when you're ready to start flashing roms again.

Thanks that would be great I've been reading over xda threads and think I have a pretty good idea of how things work, seems relatively straight forward. One last question, how easy is it to flash a new recovery and what's the best method/process to flash a new recovery.

- Mar 08, 2015 - 09:42 PM

There are a few different ways depending upon how it was packaged up by the person providing it and the best method is really whichever you feel most comfortable with.

One method is to do it via fastboot which requires very minimal adb skill.

Another method is a flashable package in RUU form.

Another is a stock recovery flashable (where you can flash it in recovery).

Another is to simply flash it in Rom via the flashify app in the play store.
