This is a DEVELOPER EDITION Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4. This means that the bootloader is unlocked and not encrypted. Having an unlocked bootloader allows easily flashing a custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP. These custom recoveries have multiple advantages over the stock recovery including the ability to back up the entire device and the ability to easy root the stock TouchWiz firmware or install a custom ROM such as Cyannogen Mod, AOKP, Paranoid Android, OmniROM, etc.

The device does not have any visible flaws. I kept it in a case the entire time I owned it, and there is a screen protector installed. The screen protector has very minor scratches, but the screen beneath is flawless and there is an additional screen protector included. Additionally, I purchased a dust cover for both the USB port and headphone jack which were always installed when not in use and are also included.

I had absolutely no issues with this device, and would be happy to continue using it. However, I received a Developer Edition S5, so I unfortunately have no use for this device anymore.
