What do you mean by cancel Apple care coverage? Does this mean it will not have Apple Care until Jan 2022?
There isn't any damage as far as I know.
If I keep the AppleCare+ coverage, it will last until Jan 2022. Otherwise it won't.
Understand, but why was the battery replaced? How many cycles did it have before the battery replacement?
The battery was replaced simply because the Mac OS suggested a battery service to be done, although the battery was still working normally. I didn't remember the cycles before though.
