Is this iPad carrier locked to Verizon? I know on iPhones you can check it in settings -> general -> about. Not sure iPad shows it there or not. Wondering if it will work on T-Mobile.

Actually, I believe it has to be unlocked as the only way to get an engraving is from Apple directly and they only sell unlocked devices.

If this is the case I am very interested and would like to know if you would consider $650 for this iPad, I feel the engraving lowers the value but I am willing to buy it for the right price even with someone else's name and number on it.

Hi Jonathon, I think you are correct. I bought it from Apple and then had to activate it with Verizon so it should be unlocked. I am trying to verify that but had already reset all data so it’s making me go though set up process to even get to settings to look.

I would consider $700 - I know the engraving is an issue (a good lesson for me in future so I’m not handing out my phone # to people in the future, lol). But, it does have Apple care too which is a plus.
