There is no installment on it, but for some reason won’t unlock through att website, so that is why it’s listed as att only, locked to att carrier in the descriptions so their is no miscommunication on that.

Any comment from ATT why it won't unlock? Usually it means they show money owed...interested if it can be unlocked.

Have you considered clearing this up with AT&T? Interested in the phone, don't care about it being tied to AT&T, but I need for it to show as being free of financial obligation in the AT&T unlock portal.

I heard pre paid account require 6mo on AT&T service before they’ll unlock phone. That’s why I ask seller if he’s on pre-paid???

@Barry, most AT&T devices need to be active for 60 days before they can be unlocked. As long as it was bought outright, has no installment plan attached, and is not tied to a prepaid account, it should be able to be unlocked.

So you bought it from AT&T but when you try to unlock it, it says “ “We can't unlock this device for you because we didn’t sell or activate it.”

That seems odd to me and I’ve never seen that response through their unlock portal. Can you provide a screenshot? Do you also have your receipt for proof of purchase? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to help figure this out

Can you put in a AT&T SIM card, then call AT&T to get us more details? Like when it can be unlocked? Unless you don’t have AT&T service?

Ok, well with these limitations and not knowing if this device will ever be unlockable, $799 what I feel the value is. As there’s must be a reason why AT&T won’t unlock this or give details on when it can be unlocked.

I've got the same problem with an iPhone 8 plus I bought used, ATT won't unlock my either, had for 4yrs now..and they still refuse
